HEINZE, ROBERT L.: Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, N. Y. (May 23, 1939).

Hypothyroid children show marked delay in eruption of teeth. Disturbances of the ovarian hormone—by ovarian cysts and amenorrhea—produce rampant caries. Diabetes mellitus, untreated, shows acute suppurative periodontitis ; when under control, periodontal structures return to normal. Hypopituitarism, associated with hypogonadism, shows remarkably well-formed teeth. Therefore what is the relation between decreased sex development and excellent dental development in adiposogenitalism?
